Your Calling is Waiting

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” –

A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles"

by Marianne Williamson

Happy Hump Day, folks!  I hope this TamTalk!!! finds you energetic and creative, as always.  If not, hopefully this issue will be an inspiration to you.

I was blessed to stumble upon an interview with Marianne Williamson this week.  She is the author of the best-seller, A Return To Love.  If you have not read it, please put it on your priority “to do” list!  It is a must read.

The interview was based around her new book, The Law of Divine Compensation: On Work, Money, and Miracles. (I will be adding it to my own “to do” list.)  In the interview, Williamson talks about work, money and miracles from a spiritual or metaphysical perspective.  (Hang in there with me! This is going someplace worth the ride!)

Here’s the quote from the interview that struck me most:  “You can lose a job, but you can never lose a calling.”  --Marianne Williamson. (I’ve attached a link to the interview at the close of the newsletter.)

Hmmm, “never lose a calling…”  Feel where I am going with this?

The quote affirms that our calling stays with us throughout our lifetime regardless of age, circumstance, profession, etc.  For me, that means that the way I answer and address my calling may change, but the calling itself remains like a dearest childhood friend that is able to remain close and grow with me despite time, distance, and change.

So my question is this:  Do you know your calling?  Have you answered it?  Do you treat it like a dear friend that has traveled the distance with you despite your successes, failures, and changes?  If not, why?

If you are comfortable that you do know your calling, then when was the last time you “checked in?”

When we ignore and avoid the calling in our lives, we deny ourselves, our magic, our power, and  our uniqueness through which we can express our greatest passions and joy and bless others around us.

My calling is to teach and positively inspire others to the best of my ability.  The  tools that I use are my writing, poetry and performance.  TamTalk!!! is one of the ways I express and answer my calling.

This week my challenge to you is to reflect upon your calling like a dear old friend that you need to do some catching up with.  Invite your calling over for a cup of tea!

Put on some music that inspires you.  Dance in the middle of the floor with your calling or listen to what she has to say to you and record it in your journal, on your computer, in your heart.  She’s been missing you…

Make your move now! Trust and enjoy the process!  Share your below with us, so we can be inspired by your journey!  I personally would love to hear from you!  And don’t forget to peep the Williamson interview in the link below!

If TamTalk!!! is working for you, share it with family, friends, and fellow artists!

As always,

Be Joyful,

Be Creative,

Be Inspired,

Tamara

P.S.  I am considering making TamTalk!!! a weekly newsletter instead of bi-monthly.  Any suggestions?  I welcome your feedback and critique in a direct message here!  Bring it on, and many thanks!

Thanks so much for the encouragement Rachel! Your ability to shift the energy in a room is a powerful one! What a blessing that you are aware of it and use it for positivity and that it comes to you so easily! Keep shining! The world is in need of your light!

I love Tam Talk and welcome it everytime I receive it in my inbox! I enjoyed reading Your Calling Is Waiting! One of my callings is the spirit of positivity and enthusiasm and the ability to change the mood around me. I love to encourage people and see and look for the beauty in people. My calling is to spread goodness and love in every interaction that I make. For me it is just like breathing and I thank God for my calling. Have a blessed day and continue to share and spread your calling because I can hear it loud and clear :)

Thanks Tam . . . I have known and lived my calling for most of my 75 years on this side of God's Rainbow. It is encouraging and empowering women. I too, do this through my poetry, workshops and giving roses sometimes randomly, sometimes deliberate. I send my original greeting cards, birthday, etc. to more than 50 people each month. I love it; it energizes me. Thanks for allowing me to share.
